Regis Philbin, 88, 1931–2020

Regis Philbin was arguably best known for being the co-host of the talk show Live! With Regis and even bagging a Daytime Emmy Award for it. She shared the show with Kathie Lee Gifford and later with Kelly Ripa. He was the original host of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, for which he would win the Outstanding Game Show Host Award.

Philbin’s health rapidly declined in the 2000s, having multiple surgeries. On July 24, 2020, one month before his 89th birthday, he passed away due to a heart attack brought on by coronary artery disease.
