Aretha Franklin, 76, 1942-2018

Aretha Franklin needs no introduction in most places as the Queen of Soul. Her hit songs like (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Women and I Say A Little Prayer propelled her to stardom, various Halls of Fame, medals, and even more awards.
In 2018, when she was 78, she fell gravely ill. She was under hospice care, surrounded by other famous musicians such as Stevie Wonder and Jesse Jackson and her ex-husband Glynn. The Respect songstress died a few days later, and her death would receive as many tributes as a great political or spiritual figure.
