Lamborghini Miura – 1967

We are looking at the car that started it all: the Lamborghini Miura. Of course, it should be on this list because, aside from being the one that opened the gates of street-legal high-performance vehicles, it remains a feast to the eyes. Besides its gorgeous design, the 1967 car model comes with a 430-horsepower V12 engine.
It’s not surprising that the manufacturer named the powerful vehicle after the Miura, a breed of Spanish fighting bull. Thanks to ‘Lamborghini’s’ engineering team defying the wishes of Ferruccio Lamborghini, this machine came to be. The founder of the car company wanted a sedate but powerful grand touring vehicle, not a supercar.
