John Spencer – Heart Attack

Those who watched the show called The West Wing definitely recognize John Spencer as the actor who played the role of Leo McGarry. His performance on the show was so impressive that he was even able to win a Primetime Emmy Award back in 2002.

About four days before he was supposed to turn 59 years old in 2005, Spencer suffered a fatal heart attack. He had already filmed a couple of episodes of The West Wing before his death, and his name was always shown in the show’s opening credits in the seasons that followed.
