Mikael Nyqvist – Lung Cancer

Swedish actor Michael Nyqvist got his first big opportunity in the 1997 Swedish film Beck, as police officer Banck. He was later recognized internationally for his portrayals of villainous characters in John Wick and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Also notable were his roles in As It Is in Heaven and Millenium.

Back in 2017, Nyqvist sadly passed away after losing his battle with lung cancer when he was 56 years old. His appearances in movies like A Hidden Life, Kursk, and Hunter Killer was posthumous and was also honored in the latest John Wick sequel.
