Selena – Homicide

The queen of Tejano music, Selena, is widely considered to be an icon on the music scene who was definitely gone too soon. Her life was tragically cut short in 1995 at the age of only 23 when Yolanda Saldívar, her former employee, shot her.

Selena was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital only to be pronounced dead upon arrival. Her final album, titled Dreaming of You, was released a couple of months after her death. Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez would later portray her in a biopic in 1997.
