Dana Plato – Suicide

Dana Plato’s career as an actress began at the age of seven. She has reportedly appeared in over 100 commercials during her younger years until her debut in The Six Million Dollar Man. Plato’s career continued through her adulthood up until her death in 1999.
Her life was no joyride. She was an alcohol addict fighting with substance abuse and legal issues revolving around theft and fraud. On May 8, 1999, a day after she appeared on The Howard Stern Show, Plato died in her motor home. An autopsy revealed drugs in her system, and due to her history of substance abuse, Plato’s death was ruled as a suicide.
