Heather O’Rourke – Septic Shock

To see such a beautiful little girl withdrawn from the world at a very young age is truly heartbreaking. Heather O’Rourke was a child actress from San Diego, California. She was best known for her role in Poltergeist and its sequels.

Even though young, O’Rourke had many roles on television as much as she did in movies. On January 31, 1988, right around a month after turning 12, O’Rourke collapsed in her home. After rushing her to the hospital, the doctors diagnosed swollen intestines. Unfortunately, mid-surgery, little Heather took her final breath due to complications of a septic shock.
