Barbara Knox – Rita Tanner from Coronation Street

Die-hard fans of Coronation Street are witnesses to how Barbara Knox aged like fine wine. Since 1964, she has played Rita Tanner in the soap opera, but she doesn’t have plans to retire from the show. To this day, she still sports the same hairdo, although signs of aging have understandably caught up with the 87-year-old.

Recently, Queen Elizabeth II visited the Corrie set and met with her and three other long-serving actors of the show. As Knox had said in the past, she isn’t likely to end her time in the cobbled town anytime soon.
