Malcolm Hebden – Norris Cole from Coronation Street

Unlike William Roche, Malcolm Hebden couldn’t stay at Coronation Street, where he played Norris Cole for 27 years, despite wanting to do so. The 81-year-old star made his final appearance in the Weatherfield in 2020 and retired quietly because of health concerns. This came after he nearly died of a heart attack in 2017.

Hebden’s age has definitely caught up with him as this was not the first time his health suffered. In 2012, he was rushed to hospital while on the show’s set but returned a few hours later.
