Beverly Callard’s time from Coronation Street as Liz McDonald was cut short after she had to rest due to a hip operation, which later turned out to be the end of her time with the soap in 2020. Fortunately, the actress landed other projects after the program, but she has noticed the ageing proliferating just like many women in the industry.

In June 2021, Callard revealed that to combat aging, she would be having a facelift so that she would still get jobs. Even though she admitted she was scared to do it and that her family was against it, that she would still do it for herself.
