Jack P. Shepherd – David Platt from Coronation Street

Jack P. Shepherd didn’t think for one second that he was destined to play David Platt for 21 years. After all, his original contract in Coronation Street was only for three months, and it ended up extended. All is well because he eventually won Best Soap Actor for his portrayal of the fan-favorite character.

It seems like only yesterday when he was just a boy, and now 33, Shepherd’s appearance has immensely changed, including the presence of facial hair. The Corrie star does sport the same smile and build, though. In March 2021, he opened up about his battle with an eating disorder after an Internet troll criticized his size.
