Tsar Nicholas II

Nicholas II, the last Tsar of Russia, was a notorious monarch who ruled from 1894 to 1917 and was put to death at the age of 50. After his father’s death, Nicholas took the throne, but he quickly established himself as an ineffective ruler of the enormous and expansive Russian empire.

The turning point in his life came when he failed to adequately lead the Russian army in the battle; as a result, the majority of his ministers as well as his people revolted against him. After the war, he was compelled to renounce his position and was placed under house arrest before he was eventually put to death.
