Butch Cassidy

In the late 19th century, Butch Cassidy terrorized America’s wild west by robbing trains and banks. He was in charge of “The Wild Bunch,” a band of outlaws. His well-known companions are Etta Place, who was his lover, and Harry Longabaugh, a.k.a. the “Sundance Kid.”

The group moved to South America at the turn of the 20th century after being severely targeted by the American government. In Bolivia, a police gunfight ultimately resulted in their deaths. In recent years, numerous TV shows and movies have heavily romanticized their escapades. A cult classic, “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” told the narrative of Butch.
