Calamity Jane

Martha Jane Canary was the birth name of the renowned frontierswoman known as Calamity Jane, who claimed to have served with Wild Bill Hickok, a famed gunslinger and stagecoach driver. She was a strong, fearless woman who faced many difficulties since she was young to become the great gunslinger she eventually turned out to be.
She was a gorgeous girl, but she wasn’t a dainty beauty. She lived in poverty and appeared and acted like a man. Calamity Jane was the moniker given to Martha Jane because she used to caution men that they were inviting disaster if they ever displeased her.
