Karl Marx

Karl Marx, a political economist, philosopher, and revolutionary, gave socialism a sound scientific basis in the 19th century. He began studying history and philosophy at an early age and was on the verge of attaining the level of an assistant professor in philosophy when his life took another direction and he became a revolutionary.

He is renowned for his historical analysis as well as his justifications for extreme action as a means of bringing about socioeconomic change. Although Marx was not a particularly notable person during his lifetime, his ideas, which became known as “Marxism,” started to have a significant influence on workers’ movements not long after his passing.
