Sigmund Freud

Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist and the father of psychoanalysis. He is regarded as one of the most significant philosophers of the 20th century. With the publication of his monumental work, “The Interpretation of Dreams,” he transformed the field of dream research.

Freud’s viewpoint, which led him to be a moral relativist, ardent rebel, and atheist, was influenced by his Jewish background, love of Shakespeare’s plays, and lonely lifestyle. There were many positive reviews of Freud’s findings, and some even likened his writings to those of Aquinas and Plato, despite the fact that many detractors repudiated his work for being incredibly misogynistic and idealistic.
