The Annoyance of Assumptions

Whenever someone asked Keely about her ‘pregnancy,’ she would clarify that she wasn’t expecting and had just gained a few pounds. Given her appearance, it was understandable why people made assumptions, but the constant questioning began to irritate her.
Keely felt that even if she were pregnant, it wasn’t appropriate for others to ask such personal questions. This repeated scenario became so routine that she started doubting the initial diagnosis. Maybe there was some truth to it after all. Despite her frustration, it was the only explanation she had, leaving her in a state of confusion and uncertainty about her own body.
