Lou Ferrigno

Lou Ferrigno, best known for his iconic portrayal of The Incredible Hulk, wasn’t just building muscle for show. He was a powerhouse athlete in his own right. Nicknamed “The Incredible Hulk,” even before becoming synonymous with the green rage monster, he dominated the bodybuilding scene in the 1970s. He won the prestigious Mr. Universe title a record-breaking two times (1975 & 1976).
Interestingly, Lou’s bodybuilding success went beyond the stage. He briefly pursued a professional football career in Canada. When he landed the role of the Hulk on the iconic TV series, it was a perfect match for his imposing stature and strength, solidifying his place in pop culture history.
