The Future Looks Grim

If we can’t stop this situation from worsening, it’s estimated that all summer sea ice in the Arctic would disappear by the year 2035. The region is warming over twice as fast as the rest of the earth, and by the time a child born in 2020 enters high school, the caps would already have melted.
With this possibility being something that might be inevitable in the near future, people must prepare for it as fast as they can. Those who live in the Arctic’s coastal areas are particularly vulnerable as the ice that used to protect them from waves and storms is gone.
