Morocco Is Making Strides

Morocco is another country that’s making strides in its efforts to fight climate change. In fact, it even emerged at the “top of the class” in 2019, thanks to its plans to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The North African nation’s energy strategy states that it sought to get 42% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2020.
According to National Geographic, Morocco got close to its goal due to its move to invest money into projects like the Noor Ouarzazate complex. The solar plant is the largest of its kind globally and can produce enough electricity to supply a city twice the size of Marrakesh.
