A Global Emergency

It seems like people from all over the world realize the urgency of the issue of climate change. In what the UN described as the largest survey on climate that has ever been conducted, an overwhelming two-thirds of those surveyed said that they believe that climate change is a global emergency.
The poll sought out the opinion of 1.2 million respondents from the 50 countries where half of the world’s populations reside. UN Development Programme Administrator Achim Steiner also observed that this sentiment was prevalent across nationalities, gender, age, and education level.
