The Seas Are Rising

Among the most concerning effects of global warming is the world’s rising sea levels. In 2017, an American task force made projections about how high the world’s waters would’ve risen come the year 2100. An increase of 12 inches from 2000 levels is expected in the best-case scenario.
On the other hand, sea levels could rise by as much as 8.2 feet high from 2000 levels if the world is not able to curb greenhouse gas emissions soon. These possibilities pose dangers to those living in coastal regions, as they would be the first to feel the consequences of global warming.
