A Worthy Contender

When it comes to other land canyons, though, Antarctica’s have a worthy contender in the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon. Located in the Chinese autonomous region of Tibet, the place is dubbed as one of the deepest and unexplored canyons globally, although it’s accessible by car or boat.
It goes down to 17,000 feet at some points, definitely beating the Denman Glacier canyon’s depth. However, the Antarctic canyon can still hold onto the record as the Tibetan canyon’s floor is not below sea level due to the region’s high elevation.
