Dietmar Bartsch: politician, 1 million €

Dietmar Bartsch has been active in German politics for over three decades. In 1977 he gained a foothold in the SED, which eventually transformed into the PDS and, after the merger with the WASG in 2007, became today’s “Die Linke” party. From the Federal Treasurer to the Federal Managing Director, he has already taken on many different tasks. However, he is probably best known to us as the deputy chairman of his party. He was also able to shine in the role of the opposition leader of the left-wing faction from 2015 to 2017. Today he is said to have acquired a fortune of €1 million, and apparently only from his earnings in the party.
