Tim Mälzer: TV chef – 8 million euros

Down-to-earth, ambitious, talented and a big mouth – these seem to be the ingredients for TV chef Tim Mälzer’s recipe for success. Instead of haute cuisine, he prefers spaghetti Bolognese, and if things don’t go the way he imagines when cooking in front of the camera, then one or two curses escape his lips. The authentic nature of the native Pinneberger goes down well with the audience – shows like Kitchen Impossible or Ready to beef! are considered quota guarantors. His television appearances are said to bring him up to 500,000 euros a year. In addition, he earns his living with his two restaurants in Hamburg and a catering company. He has also published nine cookbooks to date.
