Elke Sommer: actress & entertainer, 20 million euros

Born in Berlin, she is one of the few German actresses who made it into Hollywood – she was even awarded a Golden Globe in 1964. She made her screen debut in 1958 when she was discovered by star director Vittorio De Sica while on vacation in Italy. Back then, hardly anyone expected that the sexy blonde would rise to become one of the big names in the international film business just a few years later. Elke Sommer played alongside Hollywood stars such as Dean Martin, Peter Sellers and Paul Newman. In the early 1990s she turned her back on the big screen to devote herself more to painting. Today the acting diva is enjoying her retirement in sunny Los Angeles.
