Who doesn’t know him? Gerhard Schröder shaped German politics for years and was a recognized Federal Chancellor before the handover to Angela Merkel. Among other things, he was known for the introduction of Agenda 2020, the Hartz4 reforms and much more. Privately, he was not able to build up a real fortune over the years because of his political activities, but as a lawyer and business lobbyist. Someone must have used their intensive contacts after their active political career! He still receives salary as former chancellor and especially the activities at Nord Stream AG bring him a considerable salary of 250,000 euros a year. He doesn’t have to worry about his financial retirement!
