Franz Müntefering: ex-politician, 500,000 euros

Franz Müntefering is a former politician with a career written like a book. It began with the adult education center, a commercial apprenticeship, industrial clerk at a medium-sized company, city councilor in Sundern, member of the Bundestag, parliamentary manager of the SPD, party executive, labor minister in North Rhine-Westphalia and then finally transport minister under Schröder and labor minister and vice chancellor under Merkel. A real career ladder! Today, the 81-year-old is in his well-deserved retirement and is enjoying it with his pension entitlements from his career. These are not exactly high compared to other politicians, but it is enough for a nice retirement. We hope he enjoys it – he definitely deserves it!
