Yet another old tale claims that women who weren’t exactly blessed with looks concealed their faces behind veils when arranged marriages were rampant. These days, the traditional accessory creates an element of drama as well as enhances the betrothed woman’s overall look.

The royal ladies looked stunning standing at the altar before the groom lifts the veil to uncover the bride’s face as the ceremony progresses. Her Majesty also donned a long veil for her big day as seen from this photo, and underneath it, she had a flawless face beat much like the other ladies.
