Prince Andrew – The Groom’s Uncle

Her Majesty’s son Prince Andrew is also William and Harry’s uncle. Naturally, he got an invite when his nephews tied the knot. In 2011, The Duke of York attended William’s ceremony in full military regalia.  He wore a Royal Navy Admiral’s uniform for the day.

While attending the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s nuptials, Andrew chose a morning suit. He teamed it with a brown vest and grey tie. The Duke of York reportedly requested to don his Admiral’s uniform to his father’s funeral in April 2021. Only 30 family members attended the funeral and the men donned morning suits.
