Kate Middleton & Meghan Markle – Something Borrowed

Prince William and Prince Harry lost their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in their younger years. When the time came for each to walk down the aisle, they still wanted to keep a part of their mother with them in some way. That’s how their respective partners, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, ended up donning a piece of jewelry from the late Diana’s prized collection.

Middleton had the honor of wearing Lady D’s sapphire sparkler on her big day. Prince Harry popped the big question using a custom-designed band featuring two diamonds from his mother’s personal collection. Experts estimate that the stone on the band the Duchess of Cambridge received is worth about $350K.
