Kate Middleton & Meghan Markle  – Portraits With The Family

Comparing the portraits from Markle and Middleton’s ceremonies, you’d think that you were seeing double. Both grooms and their families occupied the left-hand side when taking the photo. The newlywed women and their respective families occupied the right-hand side. 

However, when the Duchess of Sussex tied the knot, her mother was the only immediate family member in attendance. Markle’s father reportedly had a heart attack and couldn’t make it to his daughter’s ceremony. They had to change things up for the portrait, but the end product was beautiful. It captured what marriages are all about – bringing families together.
