Kate Middleton & Meghan Markle – Regal Face Coverings

Depending on who you ask, the veil has a varied and equally fascinating history. The garment has its roots in ancient Rome, and it was part of the efforts used to ward off evil spirits. These days veils add a charm to the betrothed woman’s ensemble. Middleton went for a long train and a shorter veil.
Markle, on the other hand, opted for a 16.5-foot-long veil designed by Clare Waight Keller, who also worked on her gown. The dainty garment featured the flora of 53 Commonwealth nations sewn into its hem.
