Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, & Meghan Markle – The Procession Party

Going back to the Victorian era, bridesmaids were often younger than the wife-to-be, and younger children were often tasked with the role. The royals maintain this tradition in part, and the late Lady Diana had a party made up of younger bridesmaids. Markle’s procession for her big day included four page boys and six girls.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte, The Duchess of Cambridge’s children, were part of Markle’s party. Middleton was the one to break away from tradition in this regard. She had two page boys and four girls included in her procession.
