Drone photographer Ovi D Pop wowed the world with his winning entry in the Abstract category of the Drone Awards. Titled “Weather Snake,” the photo is a stunning aerial shot of a road winding through a Romanian forest near Derna in Bihor County. The photo is so neatly divided that it almost appears like an optical illusion.

It captures the dichotomy of the changing seasons, showcasing how the same road looks different in different weather conditions. It’s a powerful reminder that even towns on the same latitude can have vastly different climates due to variances in air and ocean currents.
