Queen Elizabeth II & Prince Philip – Checking In With The Horses
Most equestrians you see compete come from very opulent families. Queen Elizabeth II always enjoyed many luxuries in life growing up, and one of them was having horses right in her backyard. Even if they pay people to take care of the horses, the queen still loves visiting them from time to time. Queen Elizabeth II was only four years old when she was given her very first horse. The horse the queen often rode was a black RCMP Police Service Horse named Burmese. Burmese sadly passed away back in 1990. In 2005, a bronze statue of Burmese was put up outside the Saskatchewan Legislative Building.
