Melissa Gilbert

Despite more than 50 TV movies to her credit, Melissa Gilbert is still little Laura Ingalls, whom several generations have seen grow up and blossom as a woman since she remained 10 years in the series which ended in 1984. She also experienced a dark period where she sank into alcoholism and drug addiction and from which she has now, at 55, emerged. After two marriages that quickly ended in divorce, Melissa Gilbert is finally happy and remarried to actor Timothy Busfield since 2013. She is also the mother of two boys born from her previous marriage, the second of whom is named Michael in tribute to Michael London director and actor in the series that made him popular and in which he played Charles Ingalls, his father. He died in 1992 of pancreatic cancer.
