How Are These Lights Any Useful?
Traffic lights, invented in 1868 for their first use in London, were basically a means of reducing the need for police officers to control traffic. While these are of great use in metropolitans and busy cities for effective traffic control and pedestrian crossings, this one, in particular, doesn’t seem very useful.
These lights don’t seem to cut down the work of any police officer either. This is because, firstly, there’s not much traffic that we can see here. Secondly, there’s just one single road there, and a traffic light is usually installed at intersections to close down one route and open another.
