Even though we believe the original photograph to be extremely arresting, we are unable to fathom what Lindsey was intending to achieve by making such an odd request. We can guarantee that she wasn’t anticipating that she would end up appearing like a cartoon character. At least she obtained her “orb” or “ball,” but the finished result is far different from the one she had envisioned.

The young girl must have forgotten that things may seem distorted when seen through orbs. As per Sony.co, you may see white orbs, and spherical glare spots, in photographs taken when dust particles are in the air. However, that wasn’t the case here.
