After a competitive game, “GG” or “good game” is commonly used as a courteous farewell to show sportsmanship. Another abbreviation used for the same purpose is “GGWP” or “good game, well played.” These abbreviations have become so strongly associated with multiplayer gaming that they are often used by spectators to indicate a player’s obvious victory in a particular situation or move.

However, the phrase “I hate you” doesn’t go without context. Some women dislike the time and attention their partners devote to gaming. Women often feel more secure and supported when their partner is working towards real-life (games and) achievements rather than solely focusing on video games.
