Invisibility Cloak

The ability to become invisible, a popular concept in sci-fi, may soon become a reality, thanks to recent technological developments. Metalenses and metamaterials have the potential to bend the light of all wavelengths around an object, effectively making it “invisible.” By combining these two nanotechnology devices, scientists are now closer than ever to creating the world’s first working, universal invisibility cloak.
The breakthrough for this development came in 2018, with the creation of a novel material known as broadband achromatic metalens. This technology rendered an object undetectable across the entire visible light spectrum for the first time. This slogan, however, is a humorous take on the “visibility” aspect.
