In Russia, It’s the That Food Bites You!

Every country has its type of canned food, and the Motherland is no exception. But canned food in Russia is different: not only it looks like something coming straight out of an “Alien” movie, but it also features sharp, white teeth for some reason. Only in Russia would someone look at this can of oily, blade-sharp teeth and think: “yummy!”

According to USA Today, this canned delicacy is known as toothy herring and is made out of fish heads that still have their teeth. Additional information is scarce, perhaps because few Westerners have ever chewed on one of these and lived to tell the story.
