Tight Pants in “Grease”

“Grease” remains one of the most iconic musicals, and who can forget all those leather jackets and teased locks? Olivia Newton-John played Sandy in the 1978 film and changed from an innocent sweetheart to a tight-pant-wearing femme fatale. Those pants have a special story.

Newton shared that her outfit wasn’t just snug, it had to be really tight, and an entire department had to work together to get her into her pants. In the end, the costume department sewed them on, and she had to stay filming in them all day long because it was too much work to take them off and sew them back on for bathroom breaks.
