The Couple With the Cool Marriage, Britt Ekland and Peter Sellers

After knowing each other for just over three weeks, Britt Ekland and Peter Sellers tied the knot in 1964. They were utterly obsessed with each other, leaving no room for anyone else. They met after Peter saw Ekland in a newspaper and attempted to get close to her. His efforts paid off, and they married not too long after.

Although the marriage was hasty and happy, the pair soon faced problems. Sellers dealt with mental health issues and would come off as commandeering and jealous towards Ekland, which she found increasingly difficult to bear. That’s why the couple ended up divorcing four years later, in 1968.
