“Beach Party” starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon, 1960s

One of the best pieces American International Pictures has produced is the movie “Beach Party,” which went on to become a seven-film series. Under Roger Corman’s production company, it starred Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon in the lead.

The actors struggled while filming. Even though the project was in one of the most favored film genres of the time, Roger gave a tight budget for his films. Frankie later said he wanted to finish it as fast as possible. In the end, ”Beach Party” became a hit with youngsters, which is unsurprising considering it’s about teenagers solving mysteries while enjoying their time on the beach.
