Giorgio Armani – Paradise in Antigua
The villa Armani bought and greatly expanded (he loves hosting lots of friends and family) in Antigua is a sight to behold. The pavilions, which cascade down the slopes, have verandas overlooking the view and the lagoon, and the windows throughout have louvered louvres and screens instead of glass. “I wanted a real sense of openness to the elements,” Armani explains. Paths wind down to the beaches below the compound. This “village” flows over its site with the same ease and inevitability as water cascading down a hill. It certainly can enjoy its privacy.
