This breed is typically independent and highly loyal towards its owner and family, and they have the instinct to protect. Though Spanish Water Dogs aren’t precisely aggressive, they will do everything in times of danger and are primarily aloof to strangers.

Though they have a good temperament, they aren’t recommended if you have young kids in the house as they might herd children causing unintentional injury. Thus these canines are easy to train and are pretty obedient towards their masters.
