Tosa Inu

The Tosa Inu is commonly known as the Japanese Mastiff. It is a Japanese warrior breed and can weigh up to 200 pounds. Not only that, they can pull weights much more than their own body size and weight for up to an astonishing 3,000 pounds.

If adequately trained, these dogs can be quite generous and timid, but their presence in itself freaks people out. Reports say that in several countries, such as the UK, this breed is banned due to its tendency to become violent. Experts say that just because the species was developed to fight doesn’t mean they can’t be mild and passive.
