An Afternoon Swim – Renaissance Style

In the early 1500s, the renowned Renaissance artist Michaelangelo painted his celebrated frescos in Vatican City’s Sistine Chapel. But we doubt he knew he’d created one of the most recognizable poses in the Western world featuring Adam and God touching hands.
Here we have two friends recreating the iconic moment in their backyard. Granted, it most probably took them several attempts to get it right. However, we must commend their camaraderie and dedication to achieve a perfect picture like this. For those interested in checking out the actual fresco in Italy, the Sistine Chapel is open to visitors during daytime hours the year round.
